“When I was living in Paris I had my morning café crémè at Le Rostand, a café just opposite the Jardin du Luxembourg facing the Place de Edmond Rostand. I came to admire one of Rostand’s most famous characters and plays, the comédie héroïque, Cyrano de Bergerac.
In the final heartbreaking act, the very last word spoken by Cyrano is panache. This quality, he says is the one thing that death and judgment cannot take from him. It is the quality that makes him unique and has defined his life. It is what we will remember most and what inspires us to go forward.”
The perfume begins with the top notes of ambrette seed, baies roses, magnolia flower, bergamot and delicious rum extract. In the heart is the gallant vetyver surrounded by jasmine Sambac absolute, ylang ylang orpur and cardamom, and finally a rich forest of oakwood extract. The perfume rests on a warm and enveloping foundation with olibanum Somalia orpur. Captive musks provide depth and elegant nuances of ambergris. Golden amber and white honey exude radiance.
